The 'Taxiarchis S' suffered an engine failure in the morning of July 11, 2018, north of Heraklion and asked for assistance. The ship was towed to its port of departure, Heraklion, where she had sailed only at 6.15 a.m., bound to Thira. She was detained until repairs and a class inspection were carried out. On July 13 the ship was still berthed in Heraklion.
