Heavy fog in the Istanbul Strait has suspended ship traffic and led to ferry service cancellations until further notice.

Due to the dense fog that has been affecting the Istanbul Strait, ship traffic was halted in both directions as of 04:53. Due to adverse weather conditions, Şehir Hatları also canceled some ferry services until further notice.

The fog, which intensified in the morning hours in the Istanbul Strait, negatively impacted maritime transportation. The General Directorate of Coastal Safety of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that ship traffic in the strait was suspended in both directions as of 04:53.

Adverse weather conditions also caused disruptions in urban maritime transport. Şehir Hatları announced that some ferry services were canceled until further notice due to unfavorable weather conditions.

According to the announcement, services on the Anadolu Kavağı-Rumeli Kavağı-Sarıyer, Sarıyer-Beykoz, Anadolu Kavağı-Üsküdar, 07:20 Rumeli Kavağı-Eminönü, and 07:05 Sarıyer-Eminönü routes have been temporarily suspended.
