On June 13, 2018, at 4 a.m. the 'Luzé“, 130 gt, sank in the vicinity of pos. 37° 12.39' N 008° 57.08' W following a water ingress caused by propeller trouble about 10 kilometers off Carrapateira Nuno Ferreira Santos. The crew of seven, residents from Póvoa de Varzim and Caxinas (Vila do Conde) went into a liferaft and was safely recovered by the SAR-boat 'Diligent“ from Sagres and a nearby fishing vessel. They were taken to Baleeira in Sagres. Among the rescued was also the owner José Lourenço, at the same time the skipper of the vessel which was worth 700.000 Euro and had sailed from Sines on June 11.
