On July 31, 2018, at 8:05 a.m., the all-weather boat of the SNSM station of Dieppe was alerted to the 'La Rose des Vents'. The ship had suffered an engine failure 16 miles off Dieppe. Once on scene, the lifeboat 'SNS 080 - Notre-Dame de Bonsecours' passed a towing rope and started towing the casualty to port.
