After the 'Seikongen' emerged above the water in Chonchi, in the Los Lagos Region, on Aug 4 the surveys began to determine the causes of the sinking in October 2017 by the Maritime Prosecutor's Office. After the assessment it will be the turn of the insurance company to decide about the further proceedings.
