The 'Oceanex Connaigra' suffered a fire in a cargo hold on the St. Lawrence River near Becancour, Quebec, in position 46 22.798 N, 072 26.856 W, on Aug 16, 2018, at 10.30 p.m. The vessel berthed at Trois-Rivieres on Aug 17 at 5.30 a.m., and the local fire brigade boarded the vessel to extinguish the fire. The bulkcarrier continued the voyage to Montreal at 10.16 a.m.
