On Aug 18 at 3 a.m. the fire aboard the 'Eid' was successfully extinguished. The ship had been towed to the Industry Quay in the Forsand municipality at 10.30 p.m. where it will be examined further during the next week. The Marine Commission for Sea and North Sea / Environmental Section of the police has been notified. It was too early to say why the main engine got overheated and caught fire.
