The owner of the 'Lomaiviti Princess V' has given assurance that more than 300 passengers on board the vessel will arrive at Port Mua-i-Walu in Suva safely on July 3, 2018. The vessel had taken in water on its way to Suva from Savusavu in the night of July 1, 2018, but the problem had been fixed by the crew. The ship should arrive at Port Mua-i-Walu as scheduled at 6 a.m. A door on the lower deck opened because of rough seas. A few vehicles were damaged, but no casualities recorded.
