On Sep 26, 2018, the 'Højestene' suffered engine problems and at the same time had to fight with hard wind and battle rough seas. In the morning the ferry had to abandon all departures to and from Drejø with the exception of the first morning departure because a combination of strong southwest wind and engine problems. After troubleshooting the ship was about to resume the sailings between Skarø and Drejø, but around 3 p.m. during trials in Svendborg a tugboat was called to assist due to ongoing engine trouble caused by a broken fuel line which forced the ship to sail with one engine only which is no problem with less wind.
