Ferry ran aground off Kerch

The "Boris Shkotolov" which is operating the Kavkaz – Kerch route in the Kerch Strait ran aground on Oct 6, 2017, at 02.35 a.m. about 1.4 cables northwest of pier 23 off Kavkaz port. The ferry had 34 passengers and 34 vehicles on board. No hull breach, no leak was reported, passing traffic was not affected. In the afternoon the ship was still stuck and would have to be refloated by tugs.
