    During a control of the 'Kilstraum' on July 16, 2018, at the Covestro loading pier in the canal port of Brunsbüttel the water police found a number of defiencies. The officers remarked that the wastewater treatment plant was not working properly due to lack of maintenance and that insufficiently disinfected wastewater had been discharged into German waters. The first engineer had to pay asecurity of 800 euros and was subject of an investigation. The ship left the port again at 4.20 p.m. bound to Buetzfleth, where it arrived at 6 p.m.before continuuing the voyage to Terneuzen, ETA July 18.
