    On July 28, 2018, at 2.30 a,m. the 'Nissos Therassia' suffered engine failure while approaching the Bosphorus for a northbound transit in the Marmara Sea, bound for Midia with a cargo of oil loaded at Ceyhan. The tanker went adrift, but was soon taken in tow by tugs and pulled through the Bosphorus into the Black Sea. Other ship traffic was stopped during the tanker’s passage through the strait. The transit was completed by 06.30 a.m.
