In the afternoon hours of Sep 10, 2018, the Port Authority of Karystos was informed by the captain of the 'Evia Star' that the ferry had suffered a failure of the left main engine. The scheduled sailing from Marmaris to Rafina was taken over by the 'Panorama'. The 'Evia Star' was detained the damage was repaired and a class certificate was provided by the shipowner.
