On March 9, 2018, the 'Luzon Strait', while en route from Manzanillo to Dover experienced an engine blackout on entering the port in position lat 51 07 36N, long 001 20 27E. Two harbour tugs assisted once within the port. The Dover Coastguard was reported about the incident at approximately 9.30 p.m. The Dover coastguard has spoken to the Duty Surveyor and Ship agent/Master and intended to obtain a statement from the Chief Engineer and the Captain of the vessel, regarding the work undertaken or the cause which led to the incident. The vessel berthed in the Eastern Docks of Dover Port at 10.50 p.m.
