Kocaeli Municipality opens electronic bids for Ereğli Port maintenance on March 9, 2026, focusing on pier renovation works.

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has taken action for the maintenance and repair of Ereğli Port. An electronic tender will be held on March 9, 2026, covering the pier renovation works.

The Department of Science Affairs of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, specifically the Superstructure Branch Directorate, has initiated the tender process for various renovation works to be carried out at Karamürsel Ereğli Port. As part of the project, comprehensive renovation works will be conducted in the 100 square meter pier area located in the port, which is frequently used by the local community and sailors.

The Works Will Be Completed in 90 Days

The construction work will be carried out through an open tender method, and after signing a contract with the winning firm, the site delivery will be made within 10 days. It is planned that the pier renovation works will be completed and put into service within 90 calendar days from the date of site delivery.

    Bids Will Be Received Electronically

The tender process, which will only be open to domestic bidders, will be conducted entirely transparently in a digital environment. Participants will be able to submit their bids electronically via EKAP (Electronic Public Procurement Platform) with an e-signature until 14:00 on Monday, March 9, 2026. E-bids will be opened on the same day and time at the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Tender Meeting Hall in Izmit.

The tender commission will determine the economically most advantageous bid based solely on price. Additionally, in order to maintain competition and quality, bids that fall below the threshold value will be rejected outright without any request for clarification.
