    Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd (DSME) has secured a new order for the construction of eight Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGC).

    DSME Secures Order for Eight LPG Carriers Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd (DSME) has secured a new order for the construction of eight Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGC). The vessels are 84,000 cubic meter LPG carriers worth around $650 million. The newbuildings will be 226m long, 36.6m in breadth, all scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2016 from Okpo Shipyard, Geoje.DSME has won a total of 14 LPGs, passing the $1.44 billion mark in new-build orders. The company continues to lead the world’s shipbuilding industry with expertise in building LNG carriers, VLGCs and car carriers
