A drone attack occurred on the Turkish tanker named Altura, owned by the Beşiktaş company, 15 miles off the entrance of the Istanbul Strait. The vessel is carrying 140,000 tons of crude oil and has a crew of 27 members. The health of the crew is reported to be good.
The ship sustained damage to the engine room and the bridge. In a distress call made via handheld radio, the captain stated, 'All devices are down. The engine room is flooding. I request urgent assistance.'
