T.Tarabya, the second ship of the two 12,000 DWT chemical tanker project built by RMK Marine, one of Türkiye's leading shipyards, for Ditaş Shipping's fleet, has been successfully launched.
The 125-meter-long T.Tarabya Chemical Tanker was designed by Delta Marine in line with the targets of high safety, operational efficiency and load flexibility. The ship is equipped with modern systems; It was developed to serve in global chemical transportation operations with its infrastructure that complies with international maritime standards, advanced technical features and infrastructure that can meet different operational needs.
RMK Marine General Manager Dr. Evaluating the latest progress made in the construction process of the ship, Utku Alanç said: "We have completed another milestone within the scope of this important project. We believe that T.Tarabya, which we built with high engineering standards, will add value to the sector with its operational performance and infrastructure compatible with high technology. We aim to contribute to the sustainable transformation of the maritime industry by developing solutions that support energy efficiency and reduction of emissions. We will continue to offer innovative and sustainable solutions to Turkish maritime."
Great Contribution to the Future of Turkish Maritime
T.Tarabya, which meets the water after T.Florya, will be one of the important elements of Ditaş Denizcilik's fleet renewal and growth strategy.
Regarding the launch of T.Tarabya, Ditaş Maritime General Manager Çağatay Ölken made the following evaluation: "After T.Florya, we are proud to launch our second ship, T.Tarabya, which was built with RMK Marine's strong engineering capabilities and will serve with Ditaş's deep-rooted operational experience. With this step we have taken in line with our lower-emission and energy-efficient maritime transportation targets, we are rejuvenating our fleet and increasing our operational capacity.
We are strengthening our position as the largest Turkish flagged tanker fleet, which we have achieved with the T.Riva tanker that recently joined our fleet, with the T.Tarabya tanker. With the addition of T.Tarabya to our fleet, the number of ships in our fleet will reach 20. Thus, we will not only increase our capacity, but also continue to represent the Turkish flag in a wider geography with high operational standards and a strong sense of responsibility. “I would like to thank all of RMK Marine's engineering and production teams and our colleagues who contributed to the project for this valuable cooperation.”
