Captain Zafer Akbulut, who held the position of Chief Pilot at Safiport operating in the Derince district of Kocaeli, announced his departure from the company as of October 7, 2026, via his social media account. With Akbulut's announcement, his tenure at the port, which began in 2017, has come to an end.
