Fog has reduced visibility in the Dardanelles Strait, leading to a closure of two-way transit traffic as of 00:25. Local ferries remain unaffected.
The fog, which intensified in the evening hours in the Strait, caused a decrease in visibility at sea.
The Çanakkale Strait Vessel Traffic Services Directorate announced via radio to the captains of vessels navigating from the north and south that the Strait was closed to two-way transit vessel traffic as of 00:25.
It was stated that vessel traffic would return to normal after the fog dissipates.
