Bestway Marine backs Dajin Heavy with guarantees for new shipbuilding contracts, including container ships and multi-purpose vessels.

Bestway Marine & Energy Technology has pledged corporate guarantees for its subsidiary Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry to support bank credit facilities tied to new shipbuilding contracts, reports Shanghai's iMarine.

Dajin Heavy Industry signed a deal to build five 1,064 TEU container ships and a ship export cooperation agreement with China Shipbuilding Trading (Shanghai). Tianhai Defense will provide a counter-guarantee of up to EUR90 million (US$1.2 million), approximately RMB700 million, under a contract with CSTC Shanghai.

The yard also agreed to construct two 6,600 DWT multi-purpose dry cargo vessels for Jiangsu Xinyangchuan Maritime Development. Bestway Marine will provide a counter-guarantee of up to US$12.938 million, about RMB87.8568 million, under a separate contract.

The five container ships, bearing hull numbers DJHC6337, DJHC6338, DJHC6339, DJHC6341, and DJHC6342, will begin construction in the second half of 2026, with deliveries scheduled through June 2029. The two cargo vessels, hull numbers DJHC6167 and DJHC6168, will start in August 2026 and are expected to be delivered by January 2029.

Established in 2012, Dajin Heavy Industry is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bestway Marine & Energy Technology. The yard has the capacity to build 30,000 DWT bulk carriers, container ships, product tankers, chemical tankers, multi-purpose vessels, and wind turbine installation platforms.
