Cyprus accredits marine guards to provide armed shipboard security THE Cypriot Merchant Shipping Department has accredited GoAGT to provide armed guards on board Cypriot-flagged vessels.

"GoAGT provides armed security teams to a number of the world's leading shipping companies and this accreditation underpins our reputation for best in class service in a demanding and evolving industry," said GoAGT chief operating officer Gerry Northwood.

This follows accreditation by Panama and GoAGT remains committed to achieving ISO28007 international maritime security accreditation.

Currently there are only 18 Private Maritime Security Companies approved by the Cyprus Department of Merchant Shipping to service the Cypriot market.

GoAGT chief operating officer Gerry Northwood said the recognition by Cyprus proves its commitment to offering high-quality service that respects both international maritime law and global standards of compliance.
