Cruise ship participating in SAR operation
On Feb 20, 2017, the "Harmony of the Seas" on its actual Carribean cruise was tasked by the Coastguard to assist a distressed ship. Captain Gus Andersson immediately headed northwards with 22 knots towards the casualty to participate in the rescue operation in worsening weather. The ship was enroute from Nassau to Virgin Island and was the closest ship to the distressed vessel.
