The 'Saga Pearl II' damaged four yachts while being piloted by the piloted by harbourmaster Captain Mark Cooper at Dartmouth harbour
The 'Saga Pearl II' damaged four yachts while being piloted by the piloted by harbourmaster Captain Mark Cooper at Dartmouth harbour. The four leisure boats suffered superficial damage in the incident in the morning of Aug 29, 2018. Boat owners were running from their vessels in pyjamas as the cruise ship edged towards the boats. The Dart Harbour Authority was currently tracking down the owners of the boats involved and investigated the incident. The ship has been berthed on the mainstream moorings. No one was hurt in the incident. Records from the incident awere re being collated and will be analysed. Damage to the yachts will be thoroughly assessed and any damage caused by the 'Saga Pearl 2' will be rectified by the ship's insurance.
