Columbia Group opens a new Mumbai office, planning to hire 220 professionals as part of its global growth strategy in the maritime sector.

The new office launched in Mumbai marks a significant step in the group's global growth strategy.

Columbia Group, which operates in the integrated maritime, logistics, and offshore services sectors, has announced the opening of a new office in Mumbai to strengthen its presence in India. The new center is positioned as a crucial part of the company's long-term global growth strategy.

In a statement made by Columbia Group, it was noted that the India office will operate as an integrated regional center covering a wide range of ship management and operational services. The group plans to employ approximately 220 new professionals in India. This step aims to enhance global service capacity and strengthen regional operations.

Complementary Structure with the Philippines Center

The India office will complement Columbia Group's regional center in the Philippines, which has long been operational and supports various group operations, primarily Columbia Shipmanagement (CSM). Together, the two centers will expand global operational coverage by providing service functions tailored to different regional needs.

    Wide Range of Services

CSM India will provide services to companies within the Columbia Group in areas such as ship management, performance optimization, digital solutions, travel services, training coordination, and operational support. This will further strengthen the integrated service structure offered by the group throughout the maritime value chain.

"India is a Key Maritime Market"

Demetris Chrysostomou, CEO of Columbia Group Asia Region, emphasized the strategic importance of the opening of the India office, stating that this step reflects India's role in the global maritime sector and supports the company's goal of being closer to its customers, partners, and employees.

Mark O’Neil, CEO and Chairman of Columbia Group, highlighted that establishing a strong local presence in India would support the group's integrated business model and contribute to sustainable growth in one of the world's most significant maritime markets.

With the commencement of operations at the new office, Columbia Group aims to further advance its approach of agility, innovation, and human-centered growth in the fields of maritime, logistics, and offshore services on a global scale.
