The 'Tassili II' was in collision with a Chinese cargo ship, while leaving the port of Oran, Algeria, bound for Alicante, Spain, in the early morning of Sep 1, 2018. The ferry suffered a hull breach at starboard side of several meters length. The ship could be stabilized and berthed again. The passengers were disembarked. Both ships were under way in the port at the time of collision.
