Coaster sank after collision, one man missing
On Oct 31, 2017, the MRCC Shanghai was alerted at 07.05 p.m. after a collision between the cargo m/v "Li Dian 2" and the "Lv Di 67" in the Waigaoqiao Channel off Shanghai. The coaster sank, seven crew members were rescued by patrol boats, one man went missing. The SAR ship "Dong Hai Jiiu 204" (IMO: 9694842) was dispatched to search for the missing sailor and monitor probable pollution. The SAR operation was still going on, and a small oil leak was spotted, clean-up was under way.
