FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM is increasing rates US$1,250 per TEU, $1,900 per FEU for all cargo from the Indian subcontinent to Europe and east and west Mediterranean ports from March 1. These new FAK rates will apply from India and Pakistan base ports (offered in direct on CMA CGM services) to all North European and Mediterranean base ports (offered in direct on CMA CGM services) from March 1 until further notice.
These rates include the basic freight, the bunker surcharge, the peak season charges and similar charges. They are subject to the THC (origin and destination), the other bunker-related surcharges and the other safety and security surcharges.
