FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has announced a rate increase of US$500 per TEU on all cargo from Asia to West Africa effective January 1. Called a general rate restoration the increase will apply to cargo from Southeast Asia, mainland China, Taiwan and South Korea to all West African ports.
