    CMA CGM upgrades SEAS1 and SEAS2 services to S America

    CMA CGM has expanded in January its SEAS1 and SEAS2 services between Southeast Asia and the east coast of South America by providing two weekly departures per week to China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.

    Starting January 20, the revised port rotation for the SEAS1 service operated by 12 8,700 to 9,400 TEU ships in partnership with Cosco, Evergreen and Yang Ming is: Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Itaguai (Sepetiba), Santos, Paranagua, Navegantes, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Navegantes, Paranagua, Santos, Singapore, Hong Kong, returning to Shanghai, reported PortNews.

    The SEAS2 service offers the following port rotation operated by thirteen 8,700 to 10,500 TEU ships jointly with Hamburg Sud. They are: Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Chiwan, Singapore, Port Kelang, Itaguai, Santos, Paranagua, Itapoa, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Navegantes, Itapoa, Santos, Itaguai, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong, and back to Busan.

    Feeder services in Santos link up with northern Brasilian ports of Rio, Vitoria, Salvador, Suape and Fortaleza. There is also an import call in Itapoa from Asia and export calls from Itapoa in Brazil to Asia, as well as Hong Kong calls.
