    FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has strengthened its coverage of India on its Swahili Express service deployed on the India Middle East Gulf - East Africa and Indian Ocean route.

    The Swahili Express, operated with six vessels up to 2,800 TEU, will have a significant improvement with the addition of a weekly direct call at Mundra in addition to the present call at Nhava Sheva as from March 4.

    Gain in transit time is seven days, Longoni is reached in 11 days from Mundra, Dar Es Salaam in 14 days, Zanzibar in 18 days and Nacala in 25 days.

    The Swahili Express rotation is Mumbai-Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Khor Fakkan, Jebel Ali, Longoni, Dar Es Salaam, Zanzibar, Nacala, Port Victoria and back to Mumbai-Nhava Sheva.
