FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has set new north Europe-Asia freight all kinds (FAK) rates for (FAK) from November 1 date of loading in origin ports until further notice. Thus, from Le Havre, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp Felixstowe and Southampton to Shanghai/Port Kelang rates will go to US$700 per TEU and $850 per FEU.
These rates include the basic freight, the THC at origin and the bunker surcharges. They are subject to the THC at destination, other bunker-related surcharges, peak season charges and similar charges and the safety and security surcharges are accessible at http://www.cma-cgm.com/ebusiness/tariffs/charge-finder.
Other charges such as contingency charges and local charges may also apply, said the company.
