    FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM will increase rates US$500 per TEU on March on cargo from Asia to all destinations in West Africa, the Marseilles-based company announced

    FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM will increase rates US$500 per TEU on March on cargo from Asia to all destinations in West Africa, the Marseilles-based company announced. This 'General Rate Restoration' is part of a 'continued effort to provide our customers with reliable and efficient service and applies to cargo from mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan to all destinations in West Africa.

    There will also be a $500 rate increase on cargo from southeast Asia, east coast of India to West Africa from March 1, said the company.
