FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has informs customers of a US$500 per TEU rate increase on cargo from China to Africa effective September 17. Called a 'General Rate Restoration', the increase - $500 per TEU and $1,000 per FEU - affects cargo from mainland China and Taiwan to West Africa and equally applies to dry, reefer, OOG and breakbulk cargo.
