    China remains the top trading partner for Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay in containerized cargo from January to November 2025.

    China remained the dominant trading partner for Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay in containerized cargo between January and November 2025, reports San Diego's Datamar News.

    Brazil's containerized exports were led by China, although volumes fell by 5.8 percent year on year. The United States ranked second with an 11.2 percent decline, followed by Mexico, where shipments dropped by 5.2 percent.

    On the import side, China topped Brazil's ranking with volumes increasing by 6.3 percent compared to 2024. The United States was second, down by 2.2 percent, while Germany's inbound volumes rose by 1.5 percent.

    Argentina's exports were also led by China, which posted a significant 22.5 percent increase. The United States followed with a 5.9 percent decline, while shipments to Brazil rose by 2.4 percent.

    China dominated Argentina's imports, surging by 120.8 percent year on year. Brazil ranked second with an 11.1 percent increase, while the United States posted a 12.5 percent rise.

    In Paraguay and Uruguay combined, China led exports with volumes up by 1.8 percent. The United States followed with an 8.7 percent increase, while Vietnam ranked third, up by 4.3 percent.

    Imports into Paraguay and Uruguay were also led by China, rising by 13.4 percent year on year. The United States ranked second with a 7.7 percent increase, while Turkey posted a 15.4 percent rise.
