On July 29, 2018, at 9 p.m. the 'Helena' ran aground with 133 charter guests off Kjehiolmen auf Grund. The NSSR-lifeboat ‘Klaveness Marine’ was called to assist. The grounding had occurred in calm seas and with slow speed. At 9.35 p.m. the lifeboat managed to pull the charter ship off the rocks, and it could continue its voyage.
