EUROPEAN forwarding giant CEVA Logistics, formerly of the Netherlands, but now of Baar, Switzerland, has appointed Laurent Binetti as the new chief commercial officer (CCO), who joined company on September 1. Mr Binetti started his career in the retail industry, spending over 20 years with Dell, where he held several senior commercial positions in Switzerland and the UK with an Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) scope. During his time at Dell, he successfully expanded the company's presence into new geographies and developed new products and services. Lately, he has led several start-up initiatives, helping young entrepreneurs to structure their go-to-market strategies. He holds an MBA from the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland.

Mr Binetti is based at the CEVA Logistics head office and he will be part of the Executive Board.
