Asia to East Coast of South America service launches at the end of March.

Four carriers will launch a new bi-weekly service from Asia to the East Coast of South America (ECSA) at the end of March.

K Line, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and Pacific International Lines (PIL) said the new service would be in addition to the existing Asia - East Coast of South America (AESA) service currently offered.   K Line said the new ECSA service would enhance its current service to the growing South American market with direct coverage to Vitoria, in Brazil, as well as a faster transit time to Rio de Janeiro.  “We will further improve this to a fixed-day weekly service should there be strong support from the market,” said the carrier.  The AESA service will also be expanded to call Pusan from the middle of March enabling the carriers to offer customers a direct express between Korea and ECSA.
