CARGOGATE, a subsidiary of Munich airport since 1974, has been awarded Munich's first Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (GDP) certificate by German audit company DQS GmbH. The company functions as a service provider for airlines that transport freight but do not maintain their own warehouse facilities at Munich airport in southern Germany, explained The STAT Times, Navi Mumbai.
'We are a reliable link in the supply chain that keeps these medicines effective,' Cargogate managing director Claudia Weidenbusch was quoted as saying.
The service provider also serves as a strategic partner handling temperature-controlled containers for Envirotainer.
Ms Weidenbusch added: 'Together with these containers and our GDP-certified facilities and standards we ensure delivery of the best possible service to our customers.'
