    A cargo ship with 9 crew members, including 8 Turks, sank in the Aegean Sea after hitting rocks near Andre Island; all crew were rescued.

    It was reported that a cargo ship with 9 crew members, 8 of whom are Turkish, sank in the Aegean Sea.

    In a news report by Greek State Television ERT, it was noted that the cargo-laden ship struck rocks off the coast of Andre Island in the Aegean Sea during the morning hours.

    The report included information that the ship, which was carrying 8,000 tons of soda from Albania to Ukraine, sank.

    It was stated in the news that the crew, consisting of 8 Turks and one Azerbaijani, was rescued, and that the Greek Coast Guard units took the crew to Andre Island.
