It has been reported that the mother of Captain Ömer Asmalı, who graduated from YDO in 1981, Mrs. Ayşe Asmalı, has passed away.
The funeral of the deceased will be held today, May 28, 2026, at the Halıcıoğlu Çıksalın Mosque in Beyoğlu, following the noon prayer. She will be laid to rest in her hometown of Rize.
