A cage explosion at a Rize-Artvin fish farm led to a surge of amateur fishermen catching sea bass and salmon along the beach.
A cage explosion at a fish farm off the coast of Rize-Artvin resulted in hundreds of amateur fishermen flocking to Pazar shore to catch sea bass that had spilled into the sea. Some fishermen even reported catching salmon.
Upon hearing about the sea bass released into the water due to the explosion, many rushed to the shore with their fishing rods, filling the air with excitement.
Muhammet Babuç, one of the fishermen, shared his experience: "I received news from friends, and when we cast our lines saying 'Bismillah', we caught a salmon. Thank God it was fruitful. We are continuing, especially towards the evening. Our friends were already stressed; we heard some news. We came here and said, 'Let's cast with Bismillah.' We hope to see its blessings at our table with the kids."
Sedat Çatlı, who also aimed to catch salmon, commented, "We came to fish and have been here for two days. It's an enjoyable activity; I recommend it to everyone. We managed to catch one, but we just got here today. There should be fish from this hour onwards. Good fish is enjoyable; I recommend it to everyone. Salmon is coming, it's coming this way. We are on the Melyat side in Pazar. It seems to be coming this way. We will head towards Ardeşen, and we will catch some there too."
