BYD's global sales rose for the third month in July, fueled by robust overseas demand amid challenging domestic market conditions.
Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD reported global sales growth for a third consecutive month in July, as strong overseas demand offset weaker conditions at home, reported Caixin.
Total sales climbed 21.8 per cent from a year earlier to 419,211 vehicles last month, according to company figures released on Saturday.
Overseas shipments of passenger vehicles and pickups surged 124.3 per cent year on year to 179,841 units in July.
Analysts stated that these figures underline the growing importance of foreign markets for BYD as domestic competition intensifies.
