UK Transport Secretary Chris Grayling admitted during a recent keynote presentation at the second annual FTA Logistics Awards in London that there may be 'some bumps in the road' after Brexit, when the UK leaves the European Union in March 2020, but expressed confidence that the logistics sectors would overcome any challenges. Mr Grayling indicated to his audience of transport professionals that he recognised the flexibility and resilience of the logistics sector in the face of challenging economic times and ongoing political uncertainty, as well as praised the invaluable contribution of the industry to the UK economy.

The FTA Logistics Awards 2018 held at The Royal Lancaster Hotel celebrated excellence within the supply chain leadership and recognised the leaders who have made a significant contribution to the industry, either as individuals or as businesses, reported London's Air Cargo News.

FTA chief executive David Wells said: 'The Logistics Awards celebrate success, achievement and innovation across this industry - it's great to see such a diverse range of companies brought together by FTA.'
