The Spanish maritime authorities decided to shelter the 'Zapolyarye', stranded on Ceuta anchorage for 2,5 months due to a debt-ridden owner insolvency, at Motril. The ship was taken on tow by the SAR tug 'Luz de Mar' (IMO: 9320104) in the evening Sep 18, ETA Motril Sep 19. The ship’s fuel was down to six tons, which was not enough in case of an emergency, if rough weather struck the bulk carrier on Ceuta’s outer anchorage.
