Bulkcarrier grounded at Pulau Buru

The "Kutai Raya Dua" was beached by a storm on June 14, 2017, at the Eastern coast of Pulau Buru island in the Northern Banda Sea. The vessel was in ballast and had arrived in the area to load a cargo of logs of the Ferry Tanaya company. On June 17, it was still aground in front of Namlea Ilath Village, Batabual District with the owner PT Kutai Timber from Probolinggo being unable to contract tug for salvage.
