Boru Hatları ile Petrol Taşıma AŞ (BOTAŞ) has officially initiated the tender process for the procurement of two new LNG carriers to strengthen its fleet. According to the announcement published by the institution, the procurement will be conducted through a tender procedure among selected bidders.

Strategic Step for Energy Supply Security
This investment is considered part of Turkey's goal to increase supply flexibility in response to the rising demand for natural gas and to achieve a stronger position in global LNG markets. It is expected that the new vessels will enhance BOTAŞ's transportation capacity in long-term LNG supply operations.
A New Era in the LNG Fleet
In recent years, Turkey has made significant investments in LNG infrastructure, drawing attention with FSRU terminals, storage facilities, and long-term LNG agreements. It is anticipated that with the new LNG carriers, BOTAŞ will also increase its capacity in maritime transportation.
