The 'Romsdalsfjord' which is serving the Molde-Vestnes route, suffered an engine blackout in the night of Apr 14, 2018, at 9.10 p.m. on the fjord outside Molde. The crew was practicing an emergency stop when the engine failed. The ship called for assisteance and was taken in tow by the ferry 'Fannefjord' which was enroute from Vestnes to Molde and diverted just before the arrival at Molde. The 'Romdalsfjord' was safely pulled into the port of Molde.
