19 million VLGC LPG carrier for delivery in Q2 2028, bolstering its LPG transportation capabilities.Aygaz has signed a construction contract for a VLGC (Very Large Gas Carrier) class LPG ship worth 119 million dollars in line with its strategic objectives. The delivery of the ship is expected in the second quarter of 2028.
Aygaz announced that it will purchase a new LPG carrier to strengthen its supply chain in the field of LPG trade and transportation in accordance with its strategic goals.
The company has signed a shipbuilding contract worth 119 million dollars with South Korea-based HD Hyundai Samho Co., Ltd.
Delivery will be in the second quarter of 2028.
According to the announcement made on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the ship to be acquired will be of VLGC class and will feature a dual fuel system.
While the delivery of the ship is planned for the second quarter of 2028, payment will mostly be made in installments prior to delivery.
A letter of intent was signed on December 12, 2025.
In a statement made by Aygaz, it was expressed that the ship will add value to the company's operations in the field of LPG trade and transportation.
The company had previously signed a letter of intent with the manufacturer on December 12, 2025, and the public announcement of the process was postponed to protect the company's interests. With the parties reaching an agreement, the details of the contract were announced to the public.
