According to a statement released on October 4, 2026, the security officer of the ship operator notified UKMTO at 16:50 UTC, which corresponds to 19:50 Turkish time. The tanker crew reported seeing multiple explosions near the vessel.
In the incident that took place south of the city of Moha in Yemen, it was stated that the crew was unharmed and no environmental impact was reported. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
